New to downloading entire documents as ebooks? Get started as follows.

If it’s your first time downloading a document via Adobe Digital Editions, we recommend setting up your Adobe Digital Editions account on your computer before you attempt full-document downloading:

1. Install Adobe Digital Editions:

  1. From your computer, go to
    http://www.adobe.com/products/digital-editions/download.html
  2. Scroll down and click: “Download Adobe Digital Editions” for the type of computer you have
  3. Follow the steps as prompted

2. Create an Adobe account:

  1. From your computer, go to
    https://www.adobe.com/account/account-information.html#myadobeid
  2. Click “Create an account
  3. Fill in at least the starred fields…
  4. Click “OK

3. That’s it for setting up Adobe Digital Editions!

4. You’re now ready to download ebrary documents as ebooks onto your computer as follows:

  1. From your computer, go to your ebrary site
  2. Sign in to your personal ebrary account  (Don’t have one?  Create one as described here http://support.ebrary.com/kb/to-create-ebrary-account/)
  3. Find the document you want to download
  4. Click the “Download” button and follow the prompts

 

To upgrade to the newest version of Adobe Digital Editions, proceed as if to install Adobe Digital Editions, and it will detect that you’re upgrading:

  1. From your computer, go to
    http://www.adobe.com/products/digital-editions/download.html
  2. Scroll down and click: “Download Adobe Digital Editions” for the type of computer you have
  3. Follow the steps as prompted

Note, this article refers to full-document downloading.  These types of downloads are accessible for 7-14 days, and then they expire.  7 days for single-user books, 14 days for multi-user books.
