To reset your password (if you’ve forgotten your password, you’ll need to reset it)

1. Go to your ebrary site

  • Don’t know the URL for your ebrary site? Check your library’s website.

2. Click the “Sign In” link at the top right

  • If a window appears stating “You will be redirected to your institution’s Sign In page”, then your site uses a custom login – contact your librarian!

3. Otherwise, click the “Forgot username or password?” link in the lower center.

4. Follow the prompts:

  • Enter the email address associated with your account:
  • Click to select the “Reset my password” bullet
  • Click “Send Email” button

5. Check your email, copy the password reset code you have been sent

6. Go back to the ebrary window, paste the password reset code, click “Continue

  • If you had accidentally closed the window that was waiting for you to enter the reset code, that’s okay – just do steps 1 – 4 again.  You can use the code you already got (as long as its within 48 hours of when you got it).

7. Enter your new password, and enter it again to confirm, then click the “Set Password” button

  • Special character restrictions for your password
    • Minimum 8 characters
    • Alpha-numeric okay:  A-Z,  a-z,  0-9
    • Also okay:  ~  @  #  ^  $  &  *  (  )  –  _  +  =  {  }  |  ,  .  ?  [  ]
    • Don’t use:  spaces or other special characters

8. Your password will now have been reset, click “Continue

9. You will be all signed in and set to go.

10. To double-check that your username is what you think it is, check it under the “My Settings” link at the top right.
